Thank you for your support of our 4th Annual Blind Awareness Walk-A-Thon

CONCORD - June 12, 2007 - The dedication of our volunteers, determination of our clients and the generosity of our many loyal supporters is wonderful! On behalf of the Association's Walk-A-Thon Committee, Board of Directors, staff, and those we serve, thank you for your support of the 4th Annual Blind Awareness Walk-A-Thon.

This event raised public awareness that our neighbors who are blind and visually impaired are active, contributing members of the community. The level of vision loss varied, as did the techniques for travel among participants. Whether traveling by sighted guide, using the white cane or assisted by dog guides, people demonstrated a "can do" spirit despite vision loss.

Saturday, June 2, 2007 proved to be filled with fun as we took steps to fulfill our mission Ð "to advance the independence of persons who are blind and visually impaired."

Sincerely and again, our heartfelt thanks,

Lori Chandonnais & Sharon Fernandez
